The Sitka Sportsman’s Association’s winter pistol leagues are starting up soon. Both men and women are welcome to participate. A rimfire (.22) and a centerfire league will be held. Signups, range familiarization and practice will be held on Wednesday evening, January 18th at 7 PM. The rimfire league will be on Tuesdays, starting January 24th and the centerfire league will be on Thursdays, starting January 26th. Both leagues start at 7 PM and will run for ten weeks.
Cost for participating in the league is $50. Shooters must also be a member of the Sportsman’s Association ($50/year) and have a valid Shooter’s Insurance Card ($50year). The indoor range is located at 5211 Halibut Point Road (on the left, just before the ferry terminal). Anyone with questions can contact Darryl at 907 738-4539 or darrylault@yahoo.com .
